Luca VILASI

Luca VILASI serves as a fixed-term assistant professor in Mathematical Analysis at the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth Sciences of the University of Messina since February 2021, following a research fellowship at the University of Insubria (2019-2020). He earned his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Messina in 2013 after completing both Master's (2008) and Bachelor's (2006) degrees there with highest honors (110/110 cum laude).

Vilasi specializes in nonlinear elliptic differential equations, focusing on existence, multiplicity, and qualitative properties of solutions for boundary value problems. His research spans nonstandard growth equations, Kirchhoff-type problems, fractional Laplacian operators, and equations on manifolds, employing advanced variational methods to address complex analytical challenges in mathematical physics and theoretical frameworks.

His publication trends (2021-2025) reveal intensifying exploration of nonlocal phenomena, critical exponent problems, and resonance effects. Articles demonstrate methodological consistency through variational techniques while progressively tackling more sophisticated structures involving bifurcation, blow-up analysis, and fractional operators across diverse applications from chemotaxis modeling to quantum mechanics.
