Luca Crivelli

Luca Crivelli is a Swiss Professor at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) and a Professor at the Department of Economics at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). He specializes in public health, health insurance economics, and health and social policy research.

His research focuses on health policy, social enterprise models, and nonprofit healthcare management. Key projects include evaluating the Swiss social enterprise sector, assessing healthcare cost accounting systems, and analyzing complementary medicine usage in Switzerland.

Recent publications examine frailty in older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic (2023) and Economy of Communion principles (2020). He has contributed to studies on healthcare utilization, mental health, and poverty reduction through ethical economic frameworks.
