Louise Morrell is a Senior Lecturer at Solent University, affiliated with the Film and Media Research Group and Contemporary Screen Studies. She holds a BSc in Software Engineering (2008) and a Master's in Interactive Media Practice from the University of Westminster (2018). Her research focuses on cognitive psychology, human-computer interaction (HCI), and user experience (UX) design, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to enhance technological interfaces and educational tools. She leads the project Developing an Open Access Tool for Capturing Value Exchange Networks at Live Events (2024–2025), funded by Solent University.
Her teaching integrates graphic design and UX principles to create engaging educational materials, fostering interactive and dynamic learning environments. She actively participates in academic activities, including organizing the Japan World Healthcare Conference 2023 and presenting at events like OCCE’24.
