Louise Holt is Professor of Human Geography at Loughborough University, where she serves as Associate Dean for Education & Student Experience. Her research focuses on geographies of children, youth, and families with emphasis on disability, inclusion, and social justice.
Key research examines how socio-spatial practices in schools impact children with special educational needs, investigating exclusionary mechanisms in educational settings and community spaces. Her work employs participatory methodologies to center marginalized voices.
Professor Holt has led numerous projects on disability, childhood, and education policy. She serves as Editor-in-Chief of Children's Geographies and founded the International Conferences on Geographies of Children, Youth and Families.
