Louise Duperron

Louise Duperron, MD, FRCSC, serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at CHU Sainte-Justine, where she holds dual leadership roles as Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Head of the Obstetrics Department.

Her research focuses on critical maternal-fetal health challenges:

• Fetal abnormalities
• Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR)
• Twin pregnancies
• High-risk pregnancies
• Amniocentesis procedures
• Obstetric complications management

Clinically, she specializes in high-risk pregnancy care and diagnostic amniocentesis. Her scholarly contributions include a seminal 2011 publication addressing ethical dimensions of patient-requested cesarean sections, reflecting her commitment to balancing clinical guidelines with patient autonomy in complex obstetric scenarios.
