Louise Dolan

Louise Dolan is an Emerita Senior Lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at North Carolina State University. Her affiliation includes the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and she is part of the Department of World Languages and Cultures Retired Faculty group. She holds an M.A. in Romance Languages/Latin American Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1993).

Her professional interests focus on Spanish language education, study abroad programs in Spain, and cultural studies. She coordinates the Sevilla Summer Study Abroad Program (May-June 2016) in collaboration with the Poole College of Management and Foreign Languages. Her teaching emphasizes language pedagogy and cross-cultural engagement.

Dr. Dolan’s work integrates academic and experiential learning through immersive programs. She maintains an office in 106 Caldwell Hall and offers flexible office hours (Mon/Wed/Fri 12:50–1:30 PM, Tue 10 AM–12 PM, or by appointment).
