Louise Boyle

Louise Boyle is a Professor of Molecular Immunology and Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge. She leads the Boyle Group, focusing on molecular mechanisms controlling peptide selection for immune recognition via Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) class I molecules.

Research Interests center on MHC class I antigen processing and presentation pathways, particularly the role of TAPBPR as a peptide editor and its implications in cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmunity. Her work explores translational applications, such as using recombinant TAPBPR to decorate cells with immunogenic peptides.

Scientific Awards include her Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellowship. Collaborators include Dr. Brian Ferguson, Professor Colin Crump, and Professor Klaus Okkenhaug.
