Lou Anna Red Corn is an Adjunct Professor at the J. David Rosenberg College of Law, University of Kentucky, where she co-teaches a capital punishment course. With a 39-year legal career focused on public safety, she served as Fayette Commonwealth Attorney (retired 2022) and prosecuted over 232 felony jury trials, including 56 homicide cases, particularly emphasizing accountability for crimes against children.
She is a founding board member of the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass and contributed to Kentucky’s Model Protocol for child sexual abuse cases. Her professional accolades include state and institutional recognitions for her legal and advocacy work. Post-retirement, she volunteered with the Osage Nation Attorney General and now serves on the Lexington Public Safety Museum board.
Red Corn is an active Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and continues to train prosecutors. She is an enrolled citizen of the Osage Nation.
