Lotta Weckström is a Continuing Lecturer in the UC Berkeley Department of Scandinavian and Executive Director of the IES Nordic Studies Program. She specializes in sociolinguistics, social anthropology, and digital humanities, with a focus on interdisciplinary projects combining rhetoric, migration studies, and cultural heritage. Her research explores language use, national belonging, and the experiences of Finnish diaspora communities in Sweden. She teaches Finnish language, culture, and history courses.
