Lorrie Frasure holds the Ralph J. Bunche Endowed Chair and is Professor of Political Science and African American Studies at UCLA. She serves as Director of the Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies and founded the Collaborative Multiracial Post-Election Survey (CMPS), a major NSF-funded research initiative.
Her research examines racial/ethnic political behavior, immigrant incorporation, and urban policy. The CMPS represents groundbreaking work in multiracial political analysis, collecting data from over 15,000 respondents across diverse demographics in multiple languages.
Publications include award-winning scholarship on suburban racial politics and co-authorship of the textbook 'Uneven Roads: An Introduction to U.S. Racial and Ethnic Politics'. Research has received support from the National Science Foundation and recognition through multiple book awards.
