Lorna Elizabeth Harding is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Arkansas, affiliated with the College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. Her work focuses on global agricultural systems, environmental institutions, and historical research. She has extensive experience in the developing world, particularly Latin America, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, where she continues research on agriculture’s role in supporting tourism. Her research also includes Midwestern agricultural technology and early 20th-century farming practices in the U.S. She authored Letters from the Boys: Wisconsin World War I Soldiers Write Home (2018) and a book analyzing farm diaries from Illinois.
