Loris Chavee

Loris Chavee is a researcher at the Namur Institute of Structured Matter, affiliated with the Research Unit in Physics. His work focuses on advanced materials and surface engineering, particularly thin film coatings and nanocatalysts.

Research Interests:

• Mechanisms of oxidation resistance and mechanical behavior in TiAlN coatings
• Photocurrent generation in TiO2-coated 3D foams
• Dry synthesis of Au-TiO2 nanocatalysts using plasma processes

Publications and Projects: He leads the MOUSSEaION project (2021–2023) on PVD coating growth mechanisms and has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in journals like Applied Surface Science and Surfaces and Interfaces.
