Lori Jerina, DNP, MSN, APRN-CNM, is an Associate Professor in the Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing programs at Clarkson College. She joined the institution in 2016 and holds adjunct faculty roles at the University of Cincinnati, Grand Canyon University, and Nebraska Methodist College. Her academic leadership includes chairing the Undergraduate Admissions, Progression, and Graduation committee and membership in Graduate Nursing committees such as the Essential Work Group and Ruffalo Noel Levitz Work Group.
Dr. Jerina’s education includes a DNP from Nebraska Methodist College (2018), MSN from the University of Cincinnati, and BSN/ASN from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is a certified nurse practitioner and nurse midwife. Her research focuses on multidisciplinary interventions for victims of violence and human trafficking, highlighted by her 2018 capstone and presentations at the Nebraska Nurses Association and Nebraska Medicine Research Day.
She is an active member of the American Nurses Association, Nebraska Nurses Association, and American College of Nurse Midwives. In 2019, she received Clarkson College’s Teaching Excellence Faculty Award. Dr. Jerina advocates for pursuing passions and dreaming ambitiously in healthcare.
