Loretta Johnson-Smith

Loretta Johnson-Smith is an Assistant Professor and Director of Secondary Education at Mount Saint Mary’s University. She holds an EdD in Educational Leadership from California State University, Los Angeles, an MA in Curriculum & Instruction from California State University, Dominguez, and a BA in English with Creative Writing emphasis from UCLA.

Her academic interests focus on educational leadership frameworks and secondary curriculum innovation, particularly at the intersection of administrative theory and classroom practice. She emphasizes the role of creative expression in teacher development.
