Lorenzo Rosa

Lorenzo Rosa is a PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Bologna, affiliated with the Interdepartmental Center for Industrial Research on ICT and part of the Mobile Middleware Research Group under Prof. Antonio Corradi. He collaborates with Prof. Ken Birman's group at Cornell University on the Cascade project, focusing on cloud and edge computing for high-availability industrial applications.

Research Focus: Integrating kernel-bypassing communication technologies (RDMA, DPDK, XDP, TSN) into virtualized and distributed industrial applications across cloud continuum infrastructures. Developing middleware solutions with homogeneous interfaces for heterogeneous technologies.
