Lorena Garcia

Lorena Garcia, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Sociology and Latin American and Latino Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, serving as Associate Head of the Sociology Department. She holds affiliations with the Gender and Women's Studies Program. Her work focuses on gender, sexuality, race, and intersectionality in Latina/x/o communities, with a particular emphasis on youth and parenting dynamics.
