Lorelle Sherman

Lorelle Sherman is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the College of Forestry at Oregon State University, affiliated with both the Outreach and Engagement unit and the Department of Forest Engineering, Resources & Management. As an Extension Forester, she serves Benton, Linn, and Polk counties, bridging academic research with practical forestry applications.

Her research focuses on silviculture, forest fire management, and enhancing forest health and biodiversity. She advises graduate students in forestry programs and integrates extension work to promote sustainable resource practices. Her role emphasizes translating scientific findings into actionable strategies for forestry stakeholders.
