Lora Robinson

Lora Robinson, MMT, MT-BC, is an Assistant Professor and Music Therapy Coordinator in the Department of Music at Howard University's College of Fine Arts. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Queens University of Charlotte (2011) and a Master of Music Therapy from Shenandoah University (2020). Her clinical expertise spans music therapy applications in public schools, residential mental health facilities, and geriatric care.

Robinson's academic responsibilities include coordinating practicum experiences across diverse populations and teaching core courses such as Music Therapy I-II, Functional Piano for therapy, and supervising internship programs. Her pedagogical approach emphasizes hands-on clinical skill development.

As a Board Certified Music Therapist (CBMT), she integrates evidence-based practices into curriculum design and student mentorship.
