Long Chen

Long Chen is a Lecturer in Data Science at Coventry University's School of Computing, Mathematics, and Data Science within the CEES School of Science. He previously served as a Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on cost-effective AI, digital health, and NLP, particularly in optimizing quality and cost in task allocation. He teaches modules in Programming for Data Science, Statistical Methods for Data Science, and Artificial Neural Networks.

His work has been published in top venues like WWW, SIGIR, and IEEE Transactions on Big Data.

Publications reflect a focus on AI in population health, demand forecasting, and healthcare data analytics. He actively seeks PhD students and emphasizes collaborative, human-in-the-loop approaches to healthcare challenges.
