Logan Mitchell (they/them) is a Philosophy PhD Candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a mindfulness teacher, and a semi-retired musical theatre performer. Their academic work bridges ethics, Buddhist philosophy, and social/political philosophy.
Research Interests:
- Normative dimensions of mindfulness and its role in moral psychology
- Bioethics of Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs)
- Critique of structural injustices, focusing on LGBTQ+ (especially trans) communities
- Institutional and individual responsibilities in dismantling transphobia
