Loay Alkafafi

Dr. Loay Alkafafi is a Lecturer at Technische Universität Berlin’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Transport Systems, affiliated with the Institute of Machine Tools and Factory Management. He holds a Principal Key Expert position at Siemens specializing in motion control. Born in 1983, he completed a BSc in Mechatronics at Birzeit University (Palestine), an MSc at TUHH (Germany) under the DAAD Scholarship, and a PhD in Mechatronics from TUHH focusing on optimal motion control for CNC machine tools.

His research interests span motion control, AI integration in CNC systems, real-time control systems, and vibration suppression. Notable works include vibration error extraction via wavelet techniques (2014) and residual vibration suppression strategies (2012). He has contributed to patents in processing machine operations and maintains active collaboration with Siemens.
