Lloyd Weeks

Lloyd Weeks is Professor of Archaeology at the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, University of New England. His research examines late prehistoric societies in Iran and Arabia, with emphasis on metallurgy development and human-environment interactions. He employs multidisciplinary approaches including field survey, excavation, and archaeometric analysis.

Research interests include Arabian and Iranian prehistory, ancient metal production systems, and socio-economic transformations from Neolithic to Iron Age periods. His publications demonstrate strong focus on archaeometallurgy and environmental adaptations.

Article analyses reveal predominant themes in archaeometallurgy, trade networks, environmental archaeology, and cultural interactions in ancient Arabia and Iran.
