Professor Lloyd Pratt holds the Drue Heinz Professorship in American Literature at the University of Oxford's Faculty of English Language & Literature. He is affiliated with St John's College and specializes in 18th-century to contemporary American literature, with particular focus on African American literature, Southern literatures, and the history of the book. His research bridges literary criticism, cultural studies, and gender/sexuality studies.
