Lizi Yu

Dr Lizi Yu is a Lecturer in the School of Economics at the University of Queensland (UQ), within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law. She holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Doctoral (Research) in Economics from the University of California-Santa Barbara.

Her research focuses on labor economics, particularly analyzing sales team performance dynamics and the economic implications of employee turnover in retail sectors. She investigates incentive structures, commission models, and organizational behaviors that impact workforce productivity.

Dr Yu has published in top-tier journals such as Management Science and Journal of Labor Economics, with recent work exploring how commission systems influence sales team performance. Her 2021 study quantified turnover costs in retail environments, contributing critical insights to human resource strategy.
