Liz Roberts

Dr Liz Roberts is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of the West of England, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries, and Education (ACE). Her work bridges cultural geography, creative methods, and socio-ecological challenges through interdisciplinary research.

Research Interests focus on creative economies, community resilience, knowledge exchange, and responsible innovation. She employs narrative analysis, visual studies, and participatory methods to address climate change, digital policy, and rural sustainability.

Current Projects include Fair Creative Economies (UKRI-funded), Hopeful Food Futures (AHRC- and UWE-funded), and Enhance GBI (inclusive blue-green infrastructure). These projects emphasize equity, co-design, and regenerative systems.

Publications span socio-ecological innovation, creative placemaking, and water ethics, with recent work (2022–2025) highlighting arts-led approaches to drought resilience, rural digital policy, and community economies.
