Liz Morris

Dr. Liz Morris is Assistant Professor in Biochemistry at Durham University's Department of Biosciences. Her research uses structural biology and biophysics to study enzyme mechanisms in viral replication processes.

Research focuses:

• Viral replication enzyme mechanisms
• Protein-nucleotide interactions in pathogens
• Structural analysis of protein-DNA complexes
• Antiviral drug target identification

She previously researched HIV structural biology at The Francis Crick Institute and transposon mechanisms at University of Edinburgh. Current projects investigate how human pathogenic viruses exploit host cellular machinery.
