Liz Allen

Dr. Liz Allen serves as a Research Fellow at the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs within Northeastern University's College of Social Sciences and Humanities, affiliated with the Global Resilience Institute where she contributes to interdisciplinary resilience research initiatives.

Education:

• PhD in Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, Washington State University (research focused on stakeholder engagement in regional climate change impacts modeling and application of environmental models in land use planning)

Her research integrates Climate Change Adaptation, Energy System Transitions, and Sharing Economy studies through a sociotechnical lens, emphasizing Sustainability and Social Justice implications. She employs System Dynamics and Participatory Research methodologies to analyze complex system interactions, with particular expertise in Stakeholder Engagement frameworks and Environmental Modeling applications for resilience planning across urban and ecological systems.

Dr. Allen actively supports the Global Resilience Research Network through international coordination and strategic partner engagement, advancing collaborative approaches to climate adaptation challenges.
