GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social SciencesAbout
Dr. Liss V. Rodriguez leads the LIAF (Laboratory for Laser Induced Atomic Fluorescence and Ionization) group at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics, based at CERN. Her research focuses on high-precision laser spectroscopy techniques to study exotic nuclei, nuclear spins, electromagnetic moments, and charge radii. She holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from the University of Paris-Saclay and has extensive experience in experimental nuclear physics.
Research Focus: Pushing the study of exotic nuclei using collinear laser spectroscopy to understand nuclear matter at stability limits. Key questions include nuclear existence limits and emergent structural patterns.
Awards: Fellowship at CERN (2020) for advancing nuclear spectroscopy techniques.
