Lisa Vaughn

Lisa Vaughn is a Professor at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in the fields of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. She also holds a joint appointment at the University of Cincinnati College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services in Educational Studies. Her research bridges community psychology, public health, and medical education with a focus on sociocultural factors affecting family health, particularly among immigrant and minority populations. She specializes in community-engaged research and participatory methods such as Photovoice, concept mapping, and social network analysis.

Her work emphasizes equitable research partnerships and systemic regional healthcare change through mixed-methods approaches.

Her recent articles focus on Latino immigrant health, participatory visual methods, and community-driven interventions for pediatric and public health challenges. She has presented extensively at national and international conferences, including the Pediatric Academic Societies and American Public Health Association meetings.
