Lisa Treidel

Dr. Lisa Treidel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the College of William and Mary (since 2024), affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. She holds a B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Bucknell University (2012), an M.S. in Biology from Illinois State University (2015), and a Ph.D. in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley (2021). Her research focuses on ecological and evolutionary physiology, using insects—particularly crickets—to study life history evolution and insect flight. Key areas include flight muscle breakdown, life history trade-offs, and climate change impacts. Recent work explores frameworks for predicting climate change responses and mechanisms underlying flight-related physiological changes. No awards or advisees are listed.
