Lisa Soontupe, Ed.D., R.N., C.N.E., is an Associate Professor in the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing at Nova Southeastern University, specializing in undergraduate nursing education. She holds a Bachelor of Science from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Nursing, a Master of Arts in Nursing Education from New York University, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from NSU's Fischler College of Education.
Her career combines clinical expertise in adult health nursing and nephrology with academic leadership. She has been instrumental in developing the Entry B.S.N. curriculum and has taught in the program for over a decade. Dr. Soontupe is a Certified Nurse Educator (C.N.E.) and Florida-licensed Registered Nurse (R.N.), recognized as College of Nursing Professor of the Year in 2014.
She actively contributes to institutional governance through roles on committees across the College of Nursing, Health Professions division, and University level. She also serves on the College of Health Care Sciences Center for Academic and Professional Excellence (CAPE) Executive Council and completed the Leadership and Management Academy in 2012.
