Dr. Lisa Schiller is an Associate Professor and Department Co-Chair at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's College of Nursing, where she also serves as Director of Graduate Programs. She joined the faculty in 2009 and teaches undergraduate and graduate nursing students. Her academic journey includes a nursing diploma from Milwaukee County General Hospital (1984), a BSN (1995), MSN (1997), and PhD in Nursing (2011) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) since 1997.
Her research and clinical interests focus on family practice, rural healthcare access, and occupational health in agricultural settings. She has 23 years of experience in rural family practice and 13 years in student health services. Dr. Schiller actively serves on the board of directors for the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic since 2012.
