Dr. Lisa Riley is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health and Care Professions at the University of Winchester, specializing in animal welfare science and primatology. Her work focuses on zoo welfare assessment, cognitive enrichment, and the intersection of welfare with conservation. She leads the Animal Welfare Research Group and coordinates BIAZA's Research Engagement Subgroup, maintaining strong industry connections.
Her research interests include qualitative behavioral assessment (QBA) in zoos, welfare of captive primates, and innovative enrichment strategies.
