Dr. Lisa Powell is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting at Monash Business School, Monash University. She holds a PhD in Accounting from Monash University, alongside a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and Graduate Certificate in Education. As a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, her work focuses on rewilding accounting education through interdisciplinary approaches, integrating posthumanist, ecofeminist, and queer theory perspectives. She has received multiple teaching awards including the AAUT 2023 Award for Teaching Excellence.
Her research explores accounting's role in social and environmental issues, emphasizing ecological justice and equity.
