Dr. Lisa O’Neill is an Assistant Professor and Director of Student Teaching in the Department of Education at Belmont Abbey College. She holds a B.S. from Appalachian State University, an M.Ed. from the University of North Carolina–Charlotte, and an Ed.D. from Gardner-Webb University. Her research focuses on student teaching, classroom management, and pedagogical strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
Dr. O’Neill has presented at academic conferences, including the 2015 NC-ACTE Annual Fall Forum and the 2014 Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy. Her work emphasizes active student response techniques to improve educational outcomes. When not teaching, she enjoys CrossFit coaching, outdoor activities, and creative hobbies like scrapbooking.
