Lisa Lockman is a Professor of Art and Chair of the Art Department at Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU), Lincoln, Nebraska. She has been at NWU since 1990, teaching courses in Ceramics, Metalsmithing, Intro to Creative Tech, and Non-Western Art History. Her research explores ancestral lineages, integrating technology like 3D printing, CNC, and laser cutting into ceramic art. Notable projects include the 'Misplaced' series (inspired by family history) and the 'Generational Ceramic Murals' series (Agatha, Elisabetha, Rosina).
Education: M.F.A. in Ceramics (Indiana State University, 1988) and B.A. in Jewelry Design & Metalsmithing (Indiana University, 1985). Additional training includes residencies in China (1998), South Korea (1996), and technical workshops in architectural ceramics, bronze casting, and enamel techniques.
