Lisa Johnson

Lisa Johnson serves as a Lecturer of Broadcasting in the Film and Media Studies Program at the University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. With over three decades of industry experience, she brings extensive practical expertise to academia, having produced or directed more than 2,000 pre- and post-game broadcasts for major professional sports franchises including the Cleveland Guardians, Cavaliers, and Columbus Blue Jackets.

Her educational qualifications include:

• MBA in Leadership from Williamson College of Business Administration, Youngstown State University
• BA in Television Production from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Kent State University

Johnson's professional focus centers on broadcasting and live sports media production, with significant contributions to television production techniques and inclusive workplace practices. She actively champions gender diversity in sports broadcasting crews where she has frequently been the sole woman present, bridging theoretical media studies with real-world production challenges through her industry-academia integration.
