Lisa Hoch

Lisa Hoch is a Research Associate in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, working in the research group of Prof. Dr. Florian Schacht. She holds a Master of Education in Mathematics and German Studies for teaching at grammar schools and comprehensive schools from the University of Duisburg-Essen, and a Bachelor of Arts in the same fields. Previously, she studied Mathematics and Geography at Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

Her research focuses on the interplay between language and mathematics instruction, particularly within secondary education contexts. This interdisciplinary interest bridges German studies and mathematics didactics, aiming to improve pedagogical approaches in multilingual and subject-integrated classrooms.

Lisa Hoch has been actively involved in academic support roles since 2021, serving as a student assistant and research assistant in the Faculty of Mathematics under Prof. Dr. Andreas Büchter before joining AG Schacht. Her work contributes to ongoing research in mathematics education and teaching methodologies.
