Lisa Ferguson

Lisa Ferguson is a Clinical Trials Manager at the RECOVER Injury Research Centre at The University of Queensland. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science, 2001) and a Master of Speech Pathology Studies (2003) from the same institution. She joined the RECOVER team in 2023 to manage the PRioRTI trial, a double-blind placebo-controlled RCT evaluating pregabalin for preventing chronic pain after whiplash injury, led by Professor Michele Sterling.

Her research focuses on skin cancer prevention in organ transplant recipients, including dietary interventions like omega-3 fatty acids and photoprotection strategies. She has over 10 years of clinical trial experience, spanning transplant medicine, oncology, immunotherapy, surgical interventions, and psychedelics. Additionally, she works as a Speech Pathologist in acute adult settings.

Lisa’s publications highlight her expertise in dermatological outcomes for transplant populations, with a focus on skin cancer incidence, dietary prophylaxis, and behavioral interventions for photoprotection. Her work includes collaborations on trials related to cancers, immunotherapy, and surgical interventions.
