Lisa Cavanaugh is an Associate Professor in the Marketing and Behavioral Science Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She holds a BA with Honors and Highest Distinction and a PhD from Duke University. Her research focuses on emotions, relationships, self and identity, social influence, and prosocial consumption.
Selected publications include studies on awe's impact on consumer behavior, social distance in online reviews, and the role of empathic emotions in family planning decisions. Her work bridges psychological theory with practical marketing insights.
Cavanaugh teaches courses such as Business Strategy Integration and Consumer Behaviour. She is affiliated with the Marketing and Behavioral Science Division and can be reached at lisa.cavanaugh@sauder.ubc.ca.
