Lisa Casey

Lisa Casey, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. She joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2010 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology.

Dr. Casey holds a bachelor's degree in religious studies and political science from Southern Methodist University (SMU), a medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and completed residency training in internal medicine at UT Southwestern. She further specialized through a gastroenterology fellowship at Tulane University.

Her research interests focus on gastrointestinal diseases, liver health, and endoscopic procedures. She actively participates in professional societies such as the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. She also serves on the Executive Board of the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
