Dr. Lisa C. Strader serves as Associate Director for Research Operations at the Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center (CSCC) within the Department of Biostatistics at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She oversees research operations, provides leadership to investigators and project teams, and manages clinical trials and behavioral studies. Dr. Strader holds a DrPH in Health Policy and Management from UNC Chapel Hill (2022), an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University (1999), and a BS in Merchandising from Stephen F. Austin State University (1984).
Her research focuses on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and HIV/STI prevention strategies. She has extensive experience in multi-site study coordination, clinical trial design, and behavioral intervention development. Dr. Strader is a key contributor to the PhenX Toolkit initiative standardizing research measures across health studies.
Her academic contributions include advancing methodologies for evaluating sexual health risk behaviors and optimizing biological endpoints in prevention trials. She currently manages CSCC studies while maintaining operational oversight of complex research projects involving both clinical and behavioral components.
