Lisa C. Huebner

Dr. Lisa C. Huebner is a Professor in the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Her work focuses on intersectionality theory, women of color college students, transnational care work, and qualitative research methods. She holds a Ph.D. and has over 20 years of academic experience in feminist sociology.

Her research explores topics such as nursing labor dynamics, human trafficking, and the academic success of marginalized student populations. Recent projects include a WCU Foundation-funded ethnography examining obstacles and achievements of women of color in higher education.

Dr. Huebner teaches courses like Feminist Theory, Gender and Globalization, and Introduction to Women's and Gender Studies. Her publications include monographs and journal articles analyzing care work, intimate violence, and transnational migration.
