Lisa Bauer

Lisa Bauer is an Assistant Professor in Virology at Erasmus MC, part of Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research focuses on neurovirulence mechanisms of emerging viruses, particularly coronaviruses and arboviruses, and their impact on neurological systems. She investigates infection dynamics in mammalian models, with a special emphasis on neuroinvasive pathways and antiviral strategies.
