Lionel Mathieu

Lionel Mathieu is a Senior Lecturer in French and Program Advisor for French at Boston University. He holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Arizona and a B.A. in English, French, and Teaching of English as a Second Language from St. Cloud State University. His research focuses on phonetics, phonology, second language acquisition, and multiliteracies pedagogy, alongside contact linguistics and French historical linguistics. He is a certified examiner for the DELF and DALF French proficiency exams.
