Lionel Frost

Lionel Frost is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Head of the Monash Business School's Peninsula Campus. His research spans urban history, water management, sports economics, and Pacific Rim economic dynamics. He leads major projects like 'Water and the Making of Urban Australia' (2018-2020) and 'Putting Death in Its Place' (2022-2026), focusing on historical urban resilience and mortality patterns.

His work intersects environmental history, public health, and sports governance, with notable contributions to understanding colonial water infrastructure, sports league economics, and Indigenous rights in sports.
