Linnette F. Reed is a Senior Professor of Practice Emerita in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese at Tulane University's School of Liberal Arts. Her academic career spans over three decades, with affiliations at institutions including Tulane, Southern University at New Orleans, and Amherst College. She holds a Ph.D. from Tulane University (1996), an M.A. in Spanish from Texas A&M University (1985), and an M.A. in History from the Universidad de Salamanca (1980).
Her research focuses on Spanish Golden Age Literature, 19th-20th century Peninsular Literature, and Hispanic Civilization. She has published extensively on protofeminist themes, literary symbolism, and cultural studies, including works analyzing La Lozana Andaluza and comparative studies of Mexican and Spanish literature.
