Linh Cu Le

Linh Cu Le, MD, PhD, is a prominent public health academic and researcher currently serving as Executive Vice Dean at the College of Health Sciences, VinUniversity, Vietnam. He is also an International Scholar with the Center for Global Health at the University of Pennsylvania. His career spans over 17 years at Hanoi University of Public Health, where he helped establish Vietnam’s first Master’s and Doctoral programs in Public Health.

His research interests include:

• Cancer epidemiology
• Adolescent health
• Injury and road traffic safety
• Reproductive health
• Global health policy
• Genetic and molecular epidemiology

Dr. Le's recent publications reflect a strong focus on cancer disparities, adolescent health, and public health in low-resource settings. His work spans both population-based studies and international collaborations, particularly in Vietnam, China, India, and the Philippines. He has contributed to major journals such as The Lancet, PLoS ONE, and the American Journal of Public Health, demonstrating expertise in epidemiological methods and global health challenges.

His scientific contributions include:

• Technical support for WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, and EU projects
• Leadership in the VinCAPR colorectal cancer screening and genetics study
• Development of biobanking and research capacity in Vietnam

Dr. Le has advised and collaborated on numerous global health initiatives and research grants, particularly in cancer and adolescent health. He has led large-scale screening programs and built research infrastructure in Vietnam. He is affiliated with research teams at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

He is actively involved in global health research through the Center for Global Health and has contributed to policy advocacy in injury prevention and adolescent health across Asia.
