Ling Cao

Ling Cao is Professor and Chair of IACUC in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at UNE's College of Osteopathic Medicine. She directs the In Vitro Analytical Core facility while holding leadership roles across multiple research centers: Center for Excellence in Neurosciences, Center for Pain Research (COBRE), and Center for Cell Signaling Research.

Research spans neuroscience with emphasis on pain mechanisms, neuro-immune interactions, and infectious disease processes. Cao contributes to medical education development and oversees institutional research compliance as IACUC chair.
