Linell A. Letendre

Brig. Gen. Linell A. Letendre serves as Dean of the Faculty at the U.S. Air Force Academy, commanding a 750-member academic mission element that designs and delivers over 500 undergraduate courses annually. A distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy (BS in Astronautical Engineering) and University of Washington School of Law (JD with high honors), she previously served as Permanent Professor and Head of the Academy's Department of Law.

Her career includes roles as Staff Judge Advocate at Scott Air Force Base, appellate counsel, and legal advisor for the DoD Comprehensive Review Working Group regarding 'don't ask, don't tell' policy repeal. She holds membership in the Order of the Coif and Order of the Barristers.

Military honors include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and Air Force Commendation Medal.
